1992 Lowden O25c CUSTOM - early 2000's O25c: what difference?
As written, what are the difference between:
- 1992 Lowden O25c CUSTOM - Early 2000's O25c What really mean "Custom"? Is there any dimensional/structural/wood difference between the 2 models? Thank you in advance! |

The Lowdens I have seen marked "custom" usually have something that is a small deviation from the standard feature set. The first thing I would check is the width of the neck at the nut and the bridge - perhaps it has wider spacing like 45mm/60mm (standard for most models would be 44mm/58mm). Or maybe there is something different in the trim/binding. An O25 should have a Cedar top - perhaps that one is Redwood?
Good luck!

If I'm not mistaken, some years are better than the others due to all the complicated history behind Avalon and Lowden. You will need to do your research on what the differences are. Do you have access to both? If so, just pick the one you prefer also they are 10ish years apart so maybe there are cosmetic/structural differences?

Go to the website. You can identify which build era by the label and the serial number.
