I have a 150, and it does everything I need a nylon string guitar to do. Congrats!

Thanks, I'm very happy with this guitar, it sounds incredible for a guitar that didn't break the bank... !!!! Every thing else that was comparable was twice the price. Other brands at this price sounded like toy guitars to me. This one has a nice rich tone with and without the electronics. Being used, it has a couple of bumps, but hardly noticeable. I'll take it. It's just what I wanted.

hmmmm just noticed something...the low E string, the A and the D strings are steel strings, while the G, The B, and E strings are nylon.....is this a common practice ???? I never heard of it before now, but it sounds great !!!

The bass strings do have a nylon core, usually with a silver winding over the core.

If by steel you mean wound then yes that is normal. A “nylon” set consists of wound E, A & D string and plain (nylon of florocarbon) G, B & E strings

On a classical, the wound strings tend to wear out faster than the unwound trebles, and some guitarists will change the wound strings about twice as often as the trebles. Some companies even sell half-sets of strings. The benefit of this practice is that nylon strings take time to settle in and hold tune.
Enjoy that guitar. I know I enjoy mine. Lucero is one of GC's house brands, so some folks will give it a side-eye for that, but I think the 150s and 200s are quite good in their price range.

I took the Lucero back, didn't like the action, got a new Takamine instead.
