My fave changes from guitar to guitar - it’s usually the one I’m playing at the time. “Wow this sounds amazing.. I think it’s my fave!”.. no wait, “THIS is my fave..” .. and yada yada yada.,

Right now my Indonesian built Tacoma/Orpheum OM26 SRW.
That leaves a Taylor 414 and Martin D15 in the cases. For some songs I like the Aria A-560 classical and it gets out the second most. |

If I have a guitar that doesn't spend time in the rotation as a favorite it's gone gone gone!

For years, my only solid wood acoustic was a Martin 000C-16GTE. It was my workhorse guitar and it shows. Although I have an old Washburn dread, I was itching for a nice resonant solid wood dread, so I bought a Gibson J35.
It's my favorite acoustic right now anyway. |

Well, I hesitate between Martin OOO-18 (2014) and Gibson L-OO TV (2016)...
It depends on my mood and the type of fingerstyle music I want to play.

Hard to know for sure. But I alternate between a 65 000 18 and a mid nineties J 50.
I reckon I have usually owned at least one 000 18 since around 1972. So that may be the best answer. I keep going back to dance with the gal who brung me.

I'd have to say that my 000-15m scratches the most itches these days.

The Martin D-45V I bought new in 1997.
Very lightweight, effortless to play, real pearl inlays, and incredible tone make it my ultimate guitar. |

My Martin 00-28 is my #1, among all my guitars.
I do have to admit that every time I pick up my Kenny Hill NWP (classical), it blows me away, too. But as far as play time, the Martin gets more than all my others combined. Easy to pick up, hard to put down. |

I only have two.
My favorite is my Huss & Dalton TOM-M (right, Italian top and mahogany back and sides). But a VERY close second is my Martin CS-00-21 (left, Sitka, EIR). I love the rich, sweet, tone of the Huss & Dalton and the super comfort of the smaller Martin. But both sound good and are comfortable. It's not by chance that I have two guitars that I love -- I arrived at these after a fairly long and intense period of buying, playing, selling, trials, research and swaps. I'm lucky to have them. |
