Looks incredible with a sound to match no doubt. Congrats!
Those Rickard tuners are a HUGE step up from what's been on the market. Very cool! |

John's guitars are always beautiful, elegant and understated. It's always interesting to me that a guitar with so little fancy trim can be so outstanding to look at. And then there is always the sound, also consistently fantastic. Congratulations Juston!

Back for another look!
I really love those 1929 and 1930 OM-28s with the pyramid bridges. Though I love the look, the original 2:1 and 4:1 Grover banjo tuners are not ideal tuners. How do you like the 12:1 Rickards? I've got 4:1 Waverleys on my 1917 Dyer harp guitar and am contemplating installing a set of Rickards. The only countervailing consideration is that having an in-tune harp guitar will eliminated most of my excuses for my poor playing.

Thanks, Randall!
I'll definitely swap out the Waverleys.

Whoooeeeee!
Congratulations on a spectacular instrument! Mighty impressive stuff!!!
I am wondering why the banjo tuners, if they are less accurate than the Waverlies? Is it just the Looks? Of course the direction of the buttons is nice... is it mostly to LOOK authentic vintage? Just me, but I rarely find even the Waverlies that comfy. I do completely change tunings mid show occasionally, and really prefer the FEEL of Gotoh 510s. My left hand is beat up enough already, without torquing stiffer tuners than necessary. At any rate, nice score for sure!!! Merry Christmas 🎁 Paul

Plus, placing Gotoh 510s on a vintage inspired guitar is a mortal sin.

Such a lovely guitar.
You now have 3 OMs and a 000 built by Slobod. I am curious if you can compare and contrast. When you sit down to play, your other fine guitars notwithstanding, how do you decide when to play which Circa guitar? I am not making light of this at all, I am just curious of your approach. I have 3 Froggys in my house but they are different shapes and I have my favorite (H12c) and then play the others for variety, or specific songs. Still I find it confusing sometimes which to pick up. How do you parse your 4 Circa guitars? hans
