Default Anyone ever learn to read Tarot?

Just curious.
Been doing a lot of cleaning/downsizing lately.
Came across two books and a basically new deck of Tarot cards.
Vaguely remember buying, never did learn the logic of how to read...

I am into tarot, though more as a form of meditation than "fortune telling."

I have a few thoughts on it but am swamped this afternoon. Will be on later.

Curious about the deck and book. What kind are they?

One book is Tarot for Dummies, no snickering, I love those books.
Can't find book #2. Might have went in last charity load?
Deck is Rider-Waite Tarot Deck.

I was not at the time (or now) interested in the so called occult aspect.
It was for party jokes type of thing.

Though I know absolutely nothing about occult stuff, I have been curious how "tarot" is correctly pronounced. My guess is either to sound like "carrot" or like "farrow". Which is it (or does it vary with different regional accents)?
