Gretsch New Yorker?
Any of you have one of these newer "Roots" collection New Yorkers? Great specs, like to hear your thoughts on the tone, projection, etc. One thing that caught my eye was the 1.75 nut with a radius of 9.5!

Looks like an early NAMM show leak - nobody I've asked has even seen one other than on the Gretsch website...

I saw this too - I'm on a Gretsch mailing list - so was going to post as well to see if anyone had seen it for real. I've been contemplation getting a Loar LH-300 and looks like this is aimed at the same market. I may be going to NAMM so if I get a chance I'll try and have a look, although from all reports it's hardly the ideal environment to roadtest guitars! Being a total archtop noob probably isn't ideal either

New Yorker
Just got their email today on this, looks promising for us 'budget' buyers. Looking forward to hearing back from any members that get to put hands on one.

I'm interested to play one as well. We have the Loar in the store and it's a great guitar - especially with flat wounds on it. wonder how the Gretsch will stack up. I've been really impressed with the rest of the Roots collection.
