All of them. Otherwise, I wouldn't have learned them. Note: None were written after '75.

Wish I would have made it my business to see him in his later years.
He’d been though a lot.
Saw Merle five times in both large and small venues. Sat in the front row of the Crazy Horse in Orange County, CA for a remarkable show. My favorite musician and singer. I play a few Merle songs (Mama Tried, Looking for a Place to Fall Apart, Holding Things Together and a couple more . . .) but rarely for others. But your post prodded me to learn Today I Started Loving You Again--great song: simple and truthful.

As to songs I never get tired of (and play for others):

I Fall to Pieces (Patsy Cline)
In My Life (The Beatles)
Stay (Sugarland)
What are you Listening to? (Chris Stapleton)
Time After Time (Cyndi Lauper)
One Mississippi (Brett Eldredge)
It's Getting Better All the Time (Brooks and Dunn)
Stay a Little Longer (Brothers Osborne)

Maggie's favourites of my repertoire are Old Man's Advice (Vance Gilbert) and I've Got Plans (Tommy Thompson) and Sittin' In The Kitchen (Bob Snider).
I like 'em too.
I learned Old Man's Advice about 7 years ago. The other two I've been singing for decades.

I'll have to say I love you in a song. Jim Croce.

It's the song I play when I first pick up a guitar. I'm so familiar with it I can hear the tone of the instrument and how it compares with guitars I own and play it on.

Best,
PJ
