Another Kim Walker masterpiece. One of the few adirondack top archies Kim has made. It has a Lindy Fralin Jazz free floating pickup custom wound for phosphorus bronze strings.
The most incredible guitar I have ever played. |

Wow, looks like this thread has found it's time.
I'll start simple. I've been loving, playing and admiring archtops for twenty years. They are all I want or need. I've owned Guilds, Epiphones, Gibsons, and a rare Grimes, but here are two current friends that y'all will recognize. Here's the '46: And this one is a '77. The Lollar Johnny Smith PU is not original, but it deserves to be there: I'll save the Trenier's for later. |

Mark Campellone Special, 17", 3 1/4" depth, the picture quality is not that great.

This is exactly what I was hoping for with this thread. GREAT guitars, guys!
The Walkers are just drop dead gorgeous. Wow. Archtop Guy - your two Gibsons are amazing! I can't wait to see your Treniers. I always liked Bryant's work! That Campellone is yummy too! I knew there had to be some nice archtops hiding on this site!

Thanks Surfoxy.
The Zenith is somewhat of a humble archtop in appearance compared to some of the beauties pictured in this thread. However it is a real nice guitar to play with low action, great sound and bought at a great price. Overall it's in very good condition cosmetically with the exception of the back where there is one small area where the finish flaked off exposing the walnut. Peter Loved your video with your giggling dancers. |

Well, nothing fancy like some of these beauties, but I have to join in...archtops are...well...they're just the best.
Here's my Early 60's Kay I always talk about, looking sexy... A close up of my latest pickup, a Loar LH-600. Well, it has an arched top...doesn't really count, but my Hofner Verythin's the best guitar I've ever played... And here I am at home with my Godin Kingpin. Didn't think there were too many jazzers around here...what do you guys play on your archies? They're not just for jazz, that's for sure. |

I agree, Joe. I believe it's my favorite in the whole thread so far (and they're all gorgeous, so that's saying a lot)!
