Irregardless seems like a perfectly cromulent word. It embiggened my vocabulary today. [500 bonus points for getting the reference]
And once you are disgruntled, how do you get re-gruntled?

It’s been thought to be associated with the feudal social system that developed in Europe in the 8th century, but lacks significant proof.

If that's the case, then I think, since it's been around since the 8th Century, it should become part of the English Vernacular.

Not sure what you mean by significant proof.
