I misunderestimated the level of acceptance the use of this word has.

What has begun to get on my last nerve is the use of "conversate."

Why does one escalator at the mall go down? Wouldn’t that de-escalate?

I fully understand that incompetent folks are the opposite of competent. So an inflammable material should be safe around fire?

I just got a letter from my doctor's office stating that CKIN is at 10:30 am. Go ahead and look that up. My confidence is high.

Guys, just except it, and don't let it effect you. These types of discussions are like an inflammable powderkeg, and it makes me collywobbles. The proper use of language is cattywampus at best, and sure to bumfuzzle us all in the end.

So don't be a gubbins, with all your taradiddles, or you'll end up snickersneed and running around in widdershins.

So ironic. And why put an out of order sign on one? Just call them stairs.

That is a new one for me, however I would not be surprised to start hearing people saying it soon. In my own experience, I will hear somebody say something like that, and then a relatively short time later, I begin noticing more people saying it until it is being uttered everywhere.

I am reasonably sure that last sentence made perfect sense to ... somebody.

Frustrate - Frustration
Eliminate - Elimination
Congregate - Congregation
Participate - Participation

Besides Judge Judy having a problem with Conversate.

It pretty much flows from many other words.

Nope! If HRH or Stephen Fry don't use it ... it isn't.

Ya know, irregardless of what you may or may not believe, I really don't disagree with never using "supposably" in any of MY documents; and please don't disrespect me for my opinion. It's mine. Thanks.
