Default One more NGD! Les paul

Okay, I did it again! This is a new Les Paul Classic I just picked up. I tried a few Les Paul's, including some Standards and Studios. I liked the 60s neck and the tone was what I was looking for, so home it came!

I added a B7 Bigsby I had sitting around, and now it's perfect. I love these pickups! The finish isn't as pretty as some I have seen, but tone rules the day!

I swear this is the last one! No, really, I mean it this time! Seriously! I mean it, no more!20200704_191842.jpg20200704_191846.jpg

Very nice!

And no, we won't hold you to such rash promises like "This is my last one." You're obviously delirious and can't be held to such profanities.

you're on a roll my man. congrats! One of my best friends bought a classic a few weeks ago and he loves it. He changed the pickups in his because he likes a bit lower gain pickups (PAF Style) and that's what he does, but he really likes the neck shape and his has a pretty nice weight. His is a 2001.

Fantastic! What a beautiful Les Paul. Is that a faded Honey Burst? If not, very close. I'm a fan of zebra pickups. Is that a newer model with Burstbuckers?

Congratulations! It looks great and the Bigsby install clean. The finish gives it a very nice aesthetic. Enjoy!

Dru, that's correct. It's called honey burst. Yes, this one has Burstbucker 61R & 61T pickups. I really like them!

Since I had not really played a lot of Les Pauls, it was kind of surprising to me just how much variability in tone there was. Some were great, and some were real duds, and some were just meh. I really went in anticipating getting a Standard, but this Classic really spoke to me.

Lots of different pickup options in Les Pauls and there are so many different models. My Les Pauls all have different pickups so I get a great range.

By the way, Waddy Wachtel's original 1960 burst has a Bigsby on it. He played for Linda Ronstadt and bought the burst from Stephen Stills. At this point its color looks a bunch like yours.

A little-known fact is that there were far more "plain" LP 'bursts made back in the day - I've seen my share, and yours is more typical of the breed than those AAAA-grade flame-tops that command deep six-figure prices...

Use it well, often, and LOUD...
