Default Swing Scythe

I have and use a swing scythe (my name for it) that has a straight wooden handle and a stirrup-shaped metal piece on the lower end. The bottom of the stirrup is sharp and slightly angled. I have a woodland landscape around my home and use this scythe to periodically knock down weeds that grow under the trees. It works well on just about everything except woody brush with a 1/4 inch diameter (it will knock it down but not cut through it). It's less work than the traditional scythe and works well in small areas.

Lowe's calls this a hand weeder:

I use one of those to shave, because a straight-blade razor isn't hipster enough for me.

My neighbor uses one of those.

Grimley Reaper.

I don't invite him over for coffee.
