Default Your favourite series on Netflix

Recently signed up - because they don't bind you to a contract.

I have a feeling there are some gems on it but also a lot of dross.

Any recommendations appreciated because the choice is somewhat overwhelming.

So much out there. What do you typically like, genre-wise?

Lots of others, look forward to seeing the recommendations here!

We just finished watching The Haunting Of Hill House and it was great ! Was a bit sceptical going in assuming it would be a cliched horror kind of thing but it's a lot smarter than that. Really it's about five siblings and how their adult lives are governed by their traumatic childhoods. If you're a fan of the supernatural genre I'd recommend it.

I just finished the first season of "Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell" about magicians in 18/19 century England. Pretty well done, but Mr. Strange's skills sort of popped up out of nowhere. Entertaining though. I'm currently "unbinged" at the moment,

The Tudors was good, Henry the VIII. Very well done, excellent work there.

Jessica Jones started out good, but took forever with the same old story line..... I stopped watching.

+1 on Ozarks, Breaking Bad and Stranger Things.

Fargo - Great series. More like the Ozarks and Breaking Bad then Stranger Things.

I’d recommend “The British Game”, about the early days of soccer. Only 4 episodes, and it’s not upsetting to watch (which is one of the important criteria for us right now; we will return to the more emotionally challenging material at a later date.

“My wife likes “Jane The Virgin”. Total fluff, but fun, and easy to step away from.

“The Crown” and “The Good Place” are both available on Netflix now....both are excellent, thought very different. Check them out.

Altered Carbon is a cerebral sci-fi thriller. Pretty far out and pretty cool.

If you have any interest in football (soccer to us unenlightened Americans) watch Sunderland 'Till I Die. It's a documentary about two seasons following the Sunderland AFC club as it tries to break out of the League One division into the upper division. Talk about fanatical and diehard fans. They make Red Sox fans look like wimps.

Stranger Things
The Witcher
Sons Of Anarchy
The 100 (though Amazon Prime have more seasons)
The Umbrella Academy
Sex Education

Looks like I will be checking out Norsemen and Altered Carbon too. Annoyingly, Weeds is not available on Netflix in the UK, else I wouldn't mind watching that again.

I don't we get Fargo in the US on Netflix, Dru. It's on Amazon Prime Video though.
