Default Any input on the Heritage H535 ?

Like to hear from owners or players your thoughts on these, especially compared to the Gibson 335.

Read some reviews that mentioned sloppy setup and fretwork years past but of late, they employ a plek and things are much better. Reviews mentioned weight ranges in mid 7 lbs.

Seth lover pups in most current models, thoughts on those in this guitar.

Any thing to mention is appreciated.

Heritage makes great guitars. I'd argue every bit as good as a Gibson, if not better.

I'll be taking my 575 to the grave with me.

I'm partial to the '80s-90s versions - a lot of the folks who made the pre-Norlin Gibson stuff were working the assembly line, and the DNA was definitely there (especially in the early-60's style Slim Taper necks). Sorry I didn't pick one up at the time: as you said they had some issues around the time they went to the elongated headstock (the pre-2K style was far more attractive and more balanced-looking IMO), and although I understand they've gotten their act together in recent years I've also heard they're really not up to the original standard - more like a Henry J. era Gibson in this respect...

Loved the 535 I had. I should have kept it. Always on the lookout for one. To me you are getting the equivalent of a much more expensive Gibson.

The H535 may be the best guitar in Heritage's lineup. There are many fans of that model! And the quality at the Heritage factory right now is at a very high level. The new owners of the company put quality control at the top of it's things to do list! I wrote a few of those fretwork/setup reviews you spoke of, and from what I can see of the last few models I've played, they've fixed those issues!

I've never regretted getting my 535 once in three years.
