I don’t know much about the ‘pre-reimagined’ Martins but think many had 1-11/16th nuts and this is 1 3/4 which is a must for me. I think they also made some changes to the neck. The neck feels very similar to Taylor’s I played before, but the guitar sounds very different to the 812 which I guess is the most comparable Taylor.

Lovely Martin that, congratulations. I've dealt with GV before and they're really good, really want to give Coda a visit sometime too.
I too am loving the 0 and 00 size guitars exclusively at the moment. Haven't missed a dread one bit, well the J45, perhaps. Enjoy your 00-28 and don't worry about blowing the budget, it's only money and you can't take it with you [emoji1319]

Congrats! I have the Mahogany standard series 00-18 and absolutely love it. I believe we have the same neck, which is the Low Oval, High Performance Taper. I agree it is similar to a Taylor, but a slightly slimmer depth I think. I really great feel.

Nice guitar! I took delivery on a Martin Custom Shop 00-21 last October, which is a 12 fret version of the same size. It’s amazing how much power and projection these little cannons put out.
So have fun with it. Wade Hampton Miller |

Congrats Bristol! Sorry it didn’t work out with the Larrivée, but you turned out alright! The 00-28 is a fantastic instrument!
