Default I'll Be There (Jackson 5) on tenor uke

My friend Agustin Amigo just posted a glorious version of this classic pop hit on the Show and Tell section. I love this song and did a recording a number of years back on tenor ukulele. Hope you enjoy:

I liked your Uke version.
Michael Jackson's...not so much.

Thanks. It is one of two custom ukes I have by Rich Godfrey of KoaWorks Ukulele in Hawaii. The other, seen in this video, is the densest and darkest koa I've ever seen:

Inspiring, Jon - as in, I'm inspired to never go near any of my ukes again (grin).

Hey Fran! It's been a while. Any new mics for me to consider? Love the Audix SCX25A.

Jon, you know I'm weak (grin).

Last year I got all goofy over single point stereo mics, especially those with a paired dual diaphragm configuration. The archtype for this kind of mic is the AKG C426: http://www.coutant.org/akgc426b/ With switchable dual diaphragms it can be set to XY, Blumlein, or MS. These are a tad on the expensive side, though, and hard to find in any case, so I looked around at other options.

Audio Technica does a stereo version of the AT4050, The 4050ST, but it's MS only. MXL has a couple of single point XY mics, but it looks like the LD switchable Revelation Stereo is gone.

I wound up falling for the Avantone CK-40, probably because it's red (grin) and definitely because I found a used one for a reasonable price.

It's really annoying in some ways - what would anyone want with a single point mic consisting of two omnis?? And how about some useful markings on the mic body so it's obvious which pair of capsules is pointing which way? But I had fun with various configurations and I'll probably get it out for some more experiments when we get back this summer.

I did a couple of clips with it, here's Mike Kaawa and me:

Wow, what a cool mic. I do see its limitations but you guys seem to have hit on its potential to great effect. I always love your playing....so relaxed and beautiful.
