I bought six from them last week. That's the most I've ever bought of one kind of string at one time.

I haven't up until now, but there's a possibility I might start using them more regularly; if so, I'd definitely get the ten-packs. I'm all about quantity discounts.

I would if D'ADDARIO sold their nickel bronze in ten packs, but I don't think they offer that one that way...I'll have to check and see.

I used to. Their blowout sales have largely gone away, so I've moved onto other brands (mostly GHS).

Never. Then again, I haven't used 10 sets of strings in the last 10 years.... I guess you could say I'm "tarnish tolerant"...... although I actually enjoy changing strings; the process of it. But since '07 it's a low priority.

In addition, thanks to all the other string postings here, I've begun fooling around with different brands.

Definitely yes, as there is savings associated with buying in bulk. Only downside is that these larger packs are not available in all string gauges like bluegrass gauges (EJ19s), etc.

And I would buy them in the 25 pack if they came sealed as in they do in the 10 pack.

Too many strings out there to commit to 10 packs of anything.

I like to buy my strings (No particular favourite brand) one pack at a time from my local guitar shop. It's a good excuse to get to have a look at his stock and have a chat.

Yes. I recently bought a ten pack of EJ-16 light gauge and a ten pack of EJ-17 mediums during a sale. Given my existing stock of Elixirs acquired on sale too, I likely won't be buying any more strings for quite a while.

Elixirs go onto guitars that see infrequent play sessions, and EJ's go on to other guitars that get tuned up and down regularly. I don't like killing expensive coated strings prematurely while re-tuning among the six or seven altered tunings that I routinely use.

No, for a couple of reasons. I don't play my guitars every day, so a ten pack would last me several years. Secondly, although I have no evidence showing strings purchased years ago would degrade, I like to buy my strings fresh.

10 or 12 pack for me when it gets below the $5 threshold. I have to change them after every gig.
