I think Linda and Kathy stand on a higher pedestal than the others, a higher one than most men for that matter. In addition to Peggy, there is also a gal named Naomi (who is Italian) and Rebecca Urlacher.

EJ Henderson is Wayne Henderson's daughter, and is making some lovely guitars and ukes. I've never played one of her guitars, but they look beautiful and her guitar education is sure to be top-notch.

Daisy's getting there. She has a very amusing Youtube channel and you can hear her interviewed by Jason Verlinde in the Fretboard Journal podcast series.

A great favorite is Aviva Pilgrim of Preservation Guitar Co. in Arkansas who studied under Todd Cambio of Fraulini Guitars. She builds a beautiful range of instruments out of American hardwoods that evoke the Stella and Oscar Schmidt guitars of the early 20th Century. Definitely marching to her own drummer—highly recommend! Link: https://www.preservationguitar.com/bio

You beat me to it. Her guitars are some of the most beautiful instruments being made today.

I am a steel string builder so I am bias to other steel string builders. These are the women that I personally think are some of the best builders in the world (regardless of gender). Kathy Wingert was one of the biggest inspirations I had when first starting my Luthier career. Her work is jaw dropping perfect. Rebecca Urlacher and Peggy White are two of my favorite people. I absolutely love them both. Every time I go to a luthier show they are 2 people I hope to see the most and I am always shocked at how clean their work is. Linda Manzer is a wonderful person who has inspired just about every steel string builder alive. And if archtops are your thing then you will be hard pressed to find a better builder, and joy to be around, than Maegan Wells.

Rebecca Urlacher https://urlacherguitars.com/

Peggy White https://www.peggywhite.ca/

Linda Manzer https://manzer.com/

Maegan Wells http://www.maegenwellsguitars.com/

Other buildres that I find amazing but are not in my "Steel sting" bubble are, Joshia de Jonge, Kathy Matsu****a, Christina Kobler (Steel string), Brigitte Charland (Also Steel string)
