The pick guard and the top do it for me as well... Also the unadorned peg head. The Sitka like yellowing of the top looks like one of Dana's aged tops... Really special.

Hey... thanks for the kind thoughts.
I am familiar with (I had one!) Dana's aged tops, and this top really doesn't look like that at all. I know the 5th picture down does, but that picture is not a true representation of this top. The sun was hitting it on such an angle to give it that interesting hue. In reality, picture 4 and (not s much as 4) picture 1 are much more realistic representation of it.
Here is a picture of the Dana top I had...

Thanks for all of your kind remarks and replies.
I did it again... I never learn.... I love the sound and everything about these dreads, and they pain me... I have a un-repaired torn rotator cuff that has made me sell every dread I've owned in the last 20 years. Before this one, it was the stellar Bourgeois that I commissioned, and loved, and sold in a week due to the pain.... I'll be putting this one up.. I hope to learn this time.
Any questions please ask..
Mick

Try playing standing up or in classical position. That should allow u shoulder to stay in neutral position

Hi Mick...

Why not just get the rotator cuff surgically repaired???

Best Regards

Hello -

This is a "several years later" question, but do you recall the "serial number" of your 2014 Circa D-28 Brazilian and Adirondack, and what store you used to commission the piece, or did you work directly with John Slobod?

I ask because if you no longer have this guitar, I may have owned it, before I sold it after two years. I bought it from the well known store in Lexington, MA. Perhaps you consigned/sold it there? I believe they said that "they" were the store of origin working with the original buyer, but I may have been misinformed on that. I am now believing that the store of origin is the other well known acoustic guitar store in Weaverville, NC near Asheville.

Just curious...trying to help someone out with the build date. You AGF post and another post I've seen say "2014", but when I bought it, it was written as a "2016" build in the ad.

Thank you!

I would contact John directly. The original photos of this guitar are missing, so it’s hard to even know where to start. Do you not have any photos of the guitar?

If any one here knows what became of Adlerburg (Mick Singer), I’d like to hear about it. Thanks in advance!
