Default Apple Playlist Question.

I have a few playlist's on my iPhone, tunes I've bought from the iTunes store.

Why are the playlist's not on my iPad? The songs are there as "purchased", but not the 2 playlist's.

All the photo's and notes and reminders and Pages files sync.

I don't want to have to spend hours putting those list's back together when I get a new phone, and the ipad is taken to gigs sometimes and could be used for break music saving my phone battery.

They should be part of the continuity, yes ?

What am I missing?

You can sync playlists between devices with iTunes. Setup and manage the playlists on iTunes, then sync them over to each device indivdually. Or, if you're an Apple Music subscriber, you can enable iCloud Music Library which will sync your playlists through iCloud.
