Thumbs up New stuff

Here it is, a new disc from a brand new member.

My first self-produced CD is called "Blues For Nightowls", and it contains 10 originals and 2 covers. One of those is Blind Willie McTell's "Brokedown Engine", one of my favorite Blues.

You can hear some clips on my site on ArtistLaunch. It's also available for sale there.

We have preliminary OK from the guy that mixed the CCM mega-hit for Mercy Me, "I Can Only Imagine", to mix one of the new songs. Very cool, if you ask me! Our first one (called "Living Stone") is still available. There is a track on it called "Like Never Before" that was included on the last T____r Guitar Forum CD. There are two full length decent quality mp3's from that album at www.markfishermusic.com, and there are mp3 clips of all the songs at www.livingstoneworship.com. Lots of guitars on most of the tunes. You can contact me through either website if you would like a CD.
And now, I can finally say that Phil Keaggy will be appearing on two of my songs on the CD! One is a poppy, trippy, Beatle-y thing called "New Creation", and the other is a praise and worship song with a 3 minute solo at the end JUST PHOR PHIL called "From the Rising of the Sun"! He did some great stuff. That should be worth the price of admission alone, IMO!

Some feedback:

- Got your cd yesterday and listened to it this morning. You are a great player and should be proud of this one for sure.

- Just got your CD! It's wonderful!! Great playing and a fantastic recording , Congratulations! I really enjoyed the Beatles covers and the mix of tunes and moods is great.

- that was simply wonderful.... you have got to be so pleased with the whole cd.... you have such a nice touch, and seems you get to the meaning of the music (not just the technical aspect)....

I noticed that one member has not posted here. Richard Peikoff is a great contributor to the Performing, Recording and Writing section here. You know him better as iDick. This man is a great musician, both writing and playing. He does a wide range of sounds and styles. He gives lessons – near UCLA.

Buy some of his CDs here - or contact him through his site listed with his 20 free downloads.

http://www.bogdoc.com/mukti/discography.htm

He has 20 songs that you can download for free and make a CD. I did. They are great quality recordings. I picked out 15 of my favorite that would fit on a CD. I love his Patriotic Melody, Mirrors and Gentle Rain.

Okay, proudly he says, I just cut my first one! I don't know the title, yet. I think we have cover art. It's original and covers. It was done in a very nice studio in Cabot, Ark., called Blackwater Studios. I am anxiously awaiting it's arrival.
