Thanks for the nice comment, Mike. I have overdone it a bit with the predelay, but it works IMO.

I am current learning The Beatles version of it. I like it very much and I enjoyed your version. Thank you for posting.

Bert, that song brings back so many memories of my mom playing that on the piano when I was a little boy. You have captured my heart with your beautiful rendition of that classic song from the 40's. Thank you so much!

Thank you all for the very nice comments. The first version I heard (and liked) of this was the one by the Beatles. I started from scratch, notating the melody from what was in my head and harmonizing that, so I ended up with something quite different. On Youtube is a great rendition by Troubleclef of the Beatles version. No need to arrange it that way as it's already done extremely well by him.
Glad you enjoyed my arrangement. |

Wonderful! This was one of the first songs I learned to play way way back in the 60s. Of course, it wasn't like this

Really well done Bert! Lovely arrangement of a great old song!
Truth is, I would have never known about this song if Paul McCartney had not sung it on the Ed Sullivan Show way back in time! But then I learned more... - Glenn

Thanks for the comments. Obviously this piece brings back a lot of memories, mostly not of the musical it was in. Here's another piece from the musical:
