Default Duo-Sonic for $299

Adorama is moving these out, I guess. $299 for a new Fender. It would make a great Christmas gift for someone. Free shipping.

I'm so tempted, just to have it to give to someone. I just don't know who though.

Yeah great deal. I have a jones for a short scale electric, but the guitar sound thin and jangly to me in every sound clip I've heard. If it had P-90's or HB's on it I woulda bought one as soon as you posted this.

The store where I take lessons has a couple of these (about their only non Squir fenders) and I wanted to like them, but I have trouble with the short scale. Even on my Tele the frets are pretty close together down above fret 16 or so. It is yet a little closer on these. Too close for me.

I like the style and look of the white model with maple board and mint pickguard. Makes a nice present for someone learning. The short scale loses all the power and twang of full scale, the latter which is a huge advantage of classic Fender design, though.

The guitar is new. The color is mint. Mint green. Adorama is a Fender dealer.
