#7 Finished
Hi Everyone,
I decided to try building in January this year. 9 months and 7 builds later , I am totally addicted to it and enjoying every minute. It is a all Mahogany, GA sized body with a 12 fret neck, std. scale length. Yesterday I handed this one over to a friend who I built it for. The look on his face after the first strum was worth every minute it took to build it. TEK Here are a few pictures of the finished guitar: Last edited by TEK; 09-30-2014 at 08:52 PM. |

Wow! That is some really amazing work, especially for being only #9! You clearly have some natural talent for building. What are you planning next?

Really good looking. I like the way you went for the aesthetic on this guitar.

I am planning on taking this: and making a guitar out of it. I remember taking the Walnut log to a sawmill with my dad almost 40 years ago. The tree came off my family farm and this summer when I was home my brother told me there was still some of it in an old barn. I picked up all that was left. I have already started on it. I am making the same body as #7 but with a 14 fret neck out of the same Walnut. I am pairing it with a Cedar top. |
