Default Spring/ Summer concerts

My small town of Brandon, MS has just built a new amphitheater and has some very notable acts coming in its first year. I’m not necessarily a fan of all these acts, especially the bro country ones, but I am excited about my city having an awesome live music venue.

I haven’t been to a concert in a couple years, but I’m excited to see Chris Stapleton when comes to the new theatre. Also thinking about seeing Dave Matthews even though I haven’t listened to him in years. My wife and I are going to Pensacola to see ZZ Top and John Fogerty this summer. We’ll probably be the youngest people there. I was inspired by the thread about what’s happened to music plus the excitement of going to a few shows this year.

Anyone have any good live music show or concert plans this year? Who are you going to see? Although popular radio is mostly not great, there’s still great music out there and I love seeing great live music.

Living in Bend, Oregon we have a very active music scene. Our ampitheatre hosts Alison Kraus, Willie Nelson, The Decemberists, Jackson Browne and Ray Lamantagne plus others this summer and I am going to all of them.

I haven't been to a concert in a couple of years, but I got tickets to see one of my favorite guitar players of all time, Robben Ford, at the Hamilton Theater in Washington, DC in May. I ain't missing this one.

Back in the day, our band covered his version of Cream's Politican and his cover of Worried Life Blues is the best i've ever heard.

I've got tickets for two shows this summer; Marc Cohn and Counting Crows.
