Alvarez all-mahogany guitars are a great value. Either the Artist's series or the Masterclass. Both very good guitars. Good variety of sizes with a comfortable neck. I have played the Breedloves mentioned and they are also very good.

Best,
Jayne

Definitely a Taylor GS Mini with a Solid Genuine Mahagony (Honduras Mahagony) as opposed to a Sapele or African Mahagony top

My Martin D15M was $700 used. If that is too much, I would recommend the Guild Westerly M120 used?

It just so happens that I played a Fender CD-60SCE All-Mahogany the other day at my local shop. It certainly meets all of your criteria: nice finish, comfortable, with a surprisingly good action & tone.

Thanks for this info. Does Taylor even use sapele or African mahogany as a top? I was under the impression they were all Honduran mahogany!

In the latest primetime, Taylor clarified that they use genuine mahagony sourced from Fiji. However given the complexity to source it, it may not be sustainable. The GS mini Hog might switch to Sapele real soon

I'll add that the Taylor GS Mini is a wonderful guitar if you want the short scale.

I agree with the Martin 0015, it’s worth half the amount just opening the case to smell that precious mahogany! You will not be disappointed!
