Really great playing on all songs. Vocalist has very nice tone...cool to hear sung in Russian. Excellent recorded sound. Thanks for sharing!

Great playing, Kazan! Man, I'd love to play some tunes with you some time. Great control and use of dynamics, and the songs themselves are magnificent.

I do have some experience with Russian music beyond just listening to Borodin and Scriabin. We have a lot of Russians living here in the Anchorage area, (including one next door,) and a pianist that I worked with for eight and a half years was a graduate of the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory. (When I lived in Helsinki, Finland I moved in with a female graduate of the Sibelius-Akatemia, but that's another story!)

In 1992 I was a featured soloist with an Anchorage Cultural Exchange troupe that played a week long tour of Magadan Oblast.

The audiences there liked what I did with "Kalinka"...

Anyway, magnificent playing, friend. Please make a habit of posting more these videos here on this forum. I look forward to hearing more of your playing.

G K...excellent playing and beautiful songs. Thanks for posting.

My heritage is Russian even though I can't speak a word. Parents were both very fluent in the language but never taught us. They liked the fact that they could communicate without the "brats" knowing what they were talking about!!

Thanks,

john

Great tunes but most of all fantastic playing. Really nice.
I also loved the song. Great vocals slight tinged with jazz.
