Sounds a lot like the Ibeam to me, but I am surprised you were allowed to post this. I could see Lr Baggs giving the pickups to certain dealers etc to try out for feedback, but I wouldn't think they would want random spoilers out there, especially with NAMM right around the corner. Thanks for posting though!

Allowed to post it? It's a video on youtube about a passive pickup.

I think you missed my point. Isn't this an unreleased pickup? Typically when a company is releasing a new product, they give it to reviewers and ask them to release a demo video on the same day to create buzz. I am just surprised you were able to post this three weeks before NAMM without any official word from Baggs. That's all I meant.

No apology needed. I thought you were referring to me being allowed to post my post here, not the Youtube video.

Anyway, there's a new pickup on the way we can all disagree about!

For sure! I wonder if Baggs noticed the popularity of the K&K when designing the Voiceprint and decided to try a version of their own. I am pretty excited, especially about the non-invasive part.

That's a good point. The K&K is said to work well with the Voiceprint too and maybe they saw that. I would have tried the Voiceprint but they have been pretty rare here in the UK.

It sounds fine, it's okay. But "first time I've heard a pickup sound like my guitar" lol no I don't think that's how that guitar sounds.

That's interesting! I would also say that the K&K does work really well with the VoicePrint DI.

I think that he would do better with a truly non-invasive p/u like the one above if he wants something that sounds "just like my guitar"!

Interesting, we'll find out soon what the LR Baggs have come up with.
The man who made the video says the pickup is active.

Let the contest of guessing begin. #1 - Battery operated internal mic (like the lyric) that transmits sound wirelessly. Borrows technology that the Voiceprint uses so the EQ can be done on the iPhone.

It sounds "just like my guitar" back when I had an under saddle Baggs Element. Yuck.

I hope whatever they come up with doesn't sound like the "prototype".
