Default What is it?

Not guitar repair related but I know you guys are handy. I was searching through a toolbox I inherited years ago for a big clamp to set a neck. I found this tool. I've seen it for years but never knew what it was for. A crimper maybe? When the handle is pulled, the pointed end of a rod presses into what ever is being place in this contraption.

Possibly a tool for setting saw teeth (saw set).

Used for removing stones or foreign objects from cloven hooved animals such e.g. goats. The adjustment is for the size of the cleft.

Actually,I think it's a saw set but that answer was taken already.

That's a saw set. It's a bit different from most of the ones I've seen. The screw should allow you to adjust how much the teeth are bent off to the side.

That's it. A setting tool for saw teeth. I see them on eBay now. Thank you. I can throw it back in to the bottom of the toolbox I never get in to. Here is your next quiz.

No idea what the saw set tool was but #2 is a sound post setting tool. They are pretty handy when you need one

Default Cowhorn gets it

I ended up needing this the first time I changed violin strings and mistakenly removed them all at the same time. Live and learn. Good one Stokes. If you would have said ultrasonic nebulizer, I would have known what that was.

My right, (luckily) middle finger started like that. Now it's 24/7. 😣
