A really good video, and a nice description of the fine guitars that Jason Kostal is building and the sound that those incredible guitarist can bring to the acoustic world. Amazing!
I really enjoyed seen Tony McManus (PRS...) Adam Miller (Traugott...) and Antoine Dufour (Beauregard...) playing those nice Kostal guitars. Next year all of them with a MD or an SJ or ... we want more!

While you're at it, let us know what you think of the cases. Looks like Hoffee and Calton?

Looks like a pair of each.

Hoffee makes the sexiest case IMHO.

While there's bad karma with the old Canadian Caltons, I still favour them when builders have NOS because they're rugged like good old Jeeps. Hoffees are more like shiny Porsches -- beautiful but you better not drink too many beers before you carry them around.

Keith Calton has a new partner in the US -- and I believe a Canadian company bought the old molds from Calton Canada.

Joe, actually the franchise was purchased by a fellow in Austin, TX. He's been training with Keith Calton in the UK, and will have the business up and running by next fall.

Eric, I suspect you're going to find that those are a matter of flavor than anything else. Neither is a "traditional" guitar, but I suspect the difference is going to be that the Traugott has a little more traditional punch and the Kostal a little more pillowy/Somogyi in its aspect.

Pillowy is a great word for the Somogyi guitars I've played! Might have to borrow that...

I absolutely love my hoffee case. Fits real snug and protects the guitar real well. Plenty of padding supporting under the headstock and neck as well. Here is a better picture of the 00 in the white hoffee:

I'm trying to buy a few more hoffees for the other guitars, but I'm not gigging as much and the guitars stay mostly at home. Hopefully I'll be able to own a few more in the future
