You know, I could have sworn I responded to this when it first was posted. Perhaps I hit the wrong key. Sorry about that. I love the character your guitar and amp have! I've heard that the Princeton is favored over the Deluxe by some lap steel players. What do you think of it?

i have a 66 deluxe reverb and i have a/bd the two with the lap steel. the deluxe, with its 12" speaker and 22 watts does have a much larger sound but the princeton, with only an 8" speaker sounds real sweet. a lot of pedal and lap steel people love 15" speakers in their amps for an even larger sound. i have an altec lansing 416 15" in a cabinet that i'll have to have my nephew help bring it in so i can try it with a couple of different amps. possibly a showman or an orange or80, both monster amps. play music!

Love that old National! Looks like it's made of walnut - or some other nice wood.
Here's a couple of my old lap steels from the 30's and a '51 Fender amp. I was working on the guitar on the right - that's why it has no strings. [IMG][/IMG]
