I have an acoustic guitar stand very much just like the one pictured a few posts back, The acoustic amp has larger supports arms in front the guitar would sit behind.

They are about 8 inches,, almost makes a flat suspended stand where the amp front sits on top of these support arms. In fact it makes a great stand for lighter rigs. My loudbox artist works as well as my marshall code and fender mustang amps

Doesn't the Compact 60 have a connector on the bottom which allows it to be mounted on a straight mic stand? I seem to recollect a couple of guys using AER amps at our local folk-club, and they had the amps on mic stands, around waist-height.

Hi fw

Yes, an acoustic amp does sound better elevated, and it can help you hear it better as well as reducing bass.

An upward aimed amp stand (they make them) can do good for this, but takes the amp out of audience perception (because it's aimed upward toward the ceiling).

I run acoustic amps on a keyboard stand about waist high and 3-5 feet behind me on stages, when standing. I open it up so the top side rails are the width of the feet on the amp. I have a shorter-than-normal keyboard stand (no longer made) which is perfect for coffee house situations when I play in sitting.

An AER is smaller than normal and may need some other means of elevating it.

Hope this adds to the discussion…

Default Amp stand?

I use a Schertler S1 for my Henriksen Bud. It is a great small amp stand:

They are around $40.

I bought a pair of relatively inexpensive speaker stands from Monoprice - I use one to elevate my Schertler amp which has an insert built in the bottom to mount on a speaker stand, the other I made a table top for that holds our mixer and assorted goodies, held on with a couple velcro straps. The stands fit in the bag that holds the other 2 we use for our PA speakers, so the 4 stands are easy to carry about -

That's the one I use for my Carvin AG300. Rock solid and cheap. Link

I use one of these...

A QwikLoc dual amp stand - works good with 2 small amps (one acoustic, one electric), or an amp with a separate power head.

I use the two methods put forward by others above

On a guitar stand in a small public (room)

Or on a speaker stand when gigging in a larger public (room)
