2015 Waterloo WL-14X from Toby Walker
This truly is a remarkable instrument. The Waterloo guitar line is a look back in time to when there was a genuine need for soulful tone that could be coaxed from simple instruments. The blues, country, and folk music played on these instruments was made in heartfelt response to the hard times of the depression era.
The WL-14 is the flagship model of the Waterloo guitar line and the inspiration that started it all. A Solid Sitka top with Solid Mahogany sides and back, Vintage inspired V neck profile with Ebony nut are just some of the depression era appointments. Mine is X braced, along with an adjustable truss rod. The best of both worlds, which is the way I like it. I absolutely think this guitar truly has the tone of those original guitars from the depression era, but without the need for any restoration.
