Congrats on the new guitar. My favourite strings on my J-15 are John Pearse PB 600L. Light gauge strings. These strings sound great as they wear in and great when they wear out.
The Daddario PB lights were to zingy to my ears which is normal for my. After a number of years and different guitars I always seem to like the Pearse PB strings.

Would enjoy some pictures of the walnut back

Congratulations on you new Gibson. I sold my J15 this summer, but I liked D'Add EJ16's and EJ19's and Martin Monel Retro lights in that order. The EJ19's really made the bass come alive, but they weren't as easy on the fingers.

Those are my go-to strings for Gibsons. At the moment I have Pearse Pure Nickels (.012) on my LG2, however, and they sound pretty stellar.

That's a nice guitar, congrats. I almost bought one instead of my J-45.

D’Addario Nickel Bronze strings sound great on my J-15. Love the tone. I play 11s, by the way.
