Nanci Griffith Cover
Actually, Pat Alger wrote it but Nanci's version is the one people know. This is the final effort from the "Quarantine Band," the core of which is the open mic house band at Kulak's Woodshed in LA. Recorded file-swap style. Shot with phones including a couple old crummy ones, amateur editing, but it sounds pretty good. And the "Quarantine" aspect is no joke -- even after two years of doing this stuff, I'm the only participant who has met all the other people in the video.

Very cool, Brent. Love the variety of video quality from the different participants. Gives it a very real feeling. The young lady’s voice works great for this classic Pat Alger tune.
Thanks for the effort this took and for posting for us to watch. Roger |

Made my day. Thanks. Really nice version, and the vocalist really gave it a nice Nancy Griffith feel. (Another sad loss from the last couple years ).

************************** Lovely singing. The lady singing has a very nice tone, and she can sing!!! The intrumentation is superb, and the music is truly enjoyable. Beautiful recording, worthy of high praises. Thanks for sharing this. Rene |

I linked all the folks involved to this thread; they really appreciate the kind words and want me to pass long their thanks. Please check out their home base, Kulakswoodshed.com, and the Facebook page. I'd call the Woodshed a national treasure, but "national" is selling it short.
