The Ookpik Waltz (trad) [fingerpicked in G]
This is a great old Canadian fiddle tune which I picked up in my session group I would say about five years ago. Back then I could just strum through the chords. Pleased to say I can now get through a little fingerpicked turn of it that I worked out myself, Nothing elaborate but I find it very satisfying - it shows me a lot of progress from when I decided I wanted to play better guitar.
I play this with a friend who plays fiddle and when he comes in I obviously back out into accompanying him but this track is just me. It’s a great tune to pass around a circle if you have a few lead instruments, like in your typical Irish session (it goes AABA and you can do as many turns as you like). Thanks for listening hope you enjoy. Edit : I played this on my 000-28.

I love this song. You played it wonderfully. I do fingerstyle guitar as well and also on mountain dulcimer. Such a pretty tune.

Very nice rendition, and congrats on developing the finger-style! (I could never make myself keep after it, regretfully.)
