Default Weiss Deess on sale again

If anyone is looking for a really good desser, Softube has the Weiss on sale for $89, down from $199. This is the lowest price it ever goes for.

Hi Jim,

I've noticed our recording goals and interest have a lot in common. Can you elaborate how this would be helpful?

A deesser reduces the sibilance we get when pronouncing S, F, X, SH, and soft Cs. Those sounds can come across as harsh in vocal tracks and a desser can tame them so their less noticeable. Some dessers, however, do the job with more transparency than others. It can also be useful to tame high hats on drum tracks.

It's important to note that not every singer will need a desser on their vocals and some will need less than others. It's also true that some mics will emphasize those sounds more than others.

In this video, you can hear some over-the-top examples of sibilance.

This video is a review/tutorial of the Weiss Deess. I think it's one of the very best plugins for this purpose.
