For a time I bought into at least the possibility mentioned in the hype. Later I focused mainly on the speakers and the room acoustics.
There's a great high-end audio place in Northern Virginia, Deja Vu Audio. They were happy to demo some different interconnects for me. My suggestion to anyone interested is to find a high-end audio place that is willing to swap some cables around. See if you can hear the difference. I could. If you can't, I respect that, and that's cool too.

Default no offense intended

I am merely relating my own experience and conclusions.

I am not saying good sound does not exist. I was just expressing some skepticism about chasing exotic/expensive solutions. I was merely making a case for the "good enough" philosopy. If you have a need to chase the diminishing returns, and it is meaningful to you, by all means.

A high end, expensive system could very well be noticeably better than my minimalist budget audios. I am just unwilling to spend the requisite $$$.

Dont get me wrong, if that is what you prefer, go for it. I do me, and you do you. Best wishes! I think there is a lot more bang for the $ in being selective, picking well-mastered hi-resolution recordings. I hear a huge, obvious difference there.

Looks great. Can you explain the set up and what the pieces are?

I would love to bring Bob Marley back to life on this rig. For starters. Wow.

My stereo system provides enormous pleasure to me.
It brings musicians right into my music room.
I enjoy it so much that I could not live without the great sound it provides.
When I record myself, I can easily tell which guitar I am playing even though my recording technique is not very advanced. I can easily see my double sitting in front of me.
I have a Goodall RCJ (cedar), Larrivee L-09, and Martin M-36.
My system is at https://www.audiogon.com/systems/10469.
