Sabionari Stradivarius guitar Concert in Cremona
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vbtUP5fHVyw
June 9, 2012 The Sabionari guitar comes back to Cremona, becomes part of the Friends of Stradivari project and is exhibited in the Stradivari Museum. http://www.friendsofstradivari.it/in...id=124&lang=en This video is an extract of the Concert performed by Krishnasol Jimenez that day. This Suite in G major (1682) is not included in the books published by Robert de Visče but it is written in a manuscript recently discovered. The Sabionari guitar website: www.sabionari.com |

Cute little thing
I knew of Antonio Stradivarius, but not the guitar-maker. Although there was an Antonio Stradivarius guitar on 2nd link. Were they related, I wonder? I don't have a copy of the old Cremona phone book, so...
Still it was great to hear the early music played with such sensitivity. Interestingly, modern day violin makers have yet to figure out the varnish the Stradivarius used. It was a secret that Antonio probably took to his grave. |
