My 92 American Standard strat. My first "good guitar" I bought brand new when I was 12 years old. I've gotten rid of all of my other electrics except this one and a Les Paul standard unburst I just enjoy looking at.

bought this in '95 from a music store just down the road from where I worked back in those days

Has been my #1 electric guitar ever since. I added the Bigsby/Vibramate a few years back.

this is one heavy axe, close to 12lbs.

Im sure I'm not alone when i say this, we are asked to post our favorite electric’s and I bet every one of us looks at the other folks favorites and says “Ooo, I’d like that guitar, and I‘d like that guitar too…” and on and on. We cant help ourselves, can we? Bahaha😹

You’re absolutely right. I’ve had a latent case of StratGAS for years, and this thread is not doing it any good

Yep. Remember ogling the those Rickenbacker Dakotas in the Elderly catalog back in the day... couldn't sleep and was looking at Gretsch and ES-335s online at about 4:30 this morning.

These two Tele parts-casters are the last of my electrics. The turmeric Esquire is my slight favourite. The pine body was hand stained with turmeric tinted Danish oil. Both have Craig Vineham pickups; a singe B in the Esquire, the Nocasters in the Tele. Yes, that's a MIJ Fender Strat neck in the red one. these guitars play really well and sound fantastic considering how little I have into them.

The Patent Numbered Bigsby with the olive tulip tuners drives me absolutely wild! Just perfect. I want that guitar😎

In the roughly 60 years I've played, I've probably had 8-10 electric guitars, usually when/if needed for a gig or band. In general, I'm not comfortable with solid body guitars and prefer hollow or semi-hollow bodies. That said, probably my favorite over the years was my '60s Telecaster with RW fingerboard and humbucker at the neck, wound up trading for a BR Guild D50 (two guitars I wish I still had). These days, I have three electrics and one sort of electric (an Artist Award, carved top acoustic archtop with a floating pickup), and the one I play the most (mainly because it's in my living room and the others aren't) is my Korean Epi HR Custom.

I've never spent a ton of money on electrics. But my favorite continues to be my Fender MIJ factory hardtail strat, "E" serial number. I bought it NOS in about '98, put Fender '57/'62 pickups in it, and it just works for me. My favorite neck I've ever played on an electric. The wood is pretty plain, but it feels right to me (though I so rarely play electric these days).

I know what you mean about those MIJ E series strats. I have one also (replaced pickups with Fender CS-69 pups). Yep, those necks are perfect for me too. However I'd probably grab my '91 Telecaster since it has the same neck, but an alder body as opposed to my strat's basswood.
