Default First post – The London Acoustic Guitar Show 2012

Hey guys,

I’m new to the AGF and this is my first post so please be gentle! My name is Aimée and I am the Events Manager at The North American Guitar.

I thought I’d use my first post to tell you all about The London Acoustic Guitar Show this past weekend.

So we had a day of setting up on the Friday, having Mike Lewis of Fine Resophonic arrive from Paris and Patrick Eggle from Shropshire, England mid afternoon.

Setup was pretty smooth going, we all mucked in and had Michael Watts drilling the Hercules hangers into the walls whilst the plasma and furniture arrived! Busy day!

We had brought:

- Greenfield G4.2 in African Blackwood and Adirondack Spruce.

- Kostal Modified Dreadnought in “The Tree” Quilted Mahogany and German Spruce.

- Fine Resophonic Dobro, flamed maple sunburst, flamed maple neck.

- Fine Resophonic Style N, brass nickel plated, single cone with mahogany neck.

- Patrick James Eggle Parlour Cuban, UK Mahogany

- Patrick James Eggle Saluda Florantine, old growth sinker redwood and Wenge.

- McElroy Generation 2 lattice-braced 000, Honduran Rosewood and bearclaw Sitka Spruce.

- McElroy Generation 1 X-braced 000, Claro Walnut and bearclaw Sitka Spruce .

- McElroy Generation 2 lattice-braced 000, Indian Rosewood and bearclaw Sitka Spruce.

Day 1:
Saturday was incredibly busy as we had Andy McKee on our stand signing autographs!

Default First post continued – The London Acoustic Guitar Show 2012

Before his performance on the main stage.

Andy’s Greenfield guitars sounded absolutely awesome and the place was packed!

The atmosphere was electric (or should that be acoustic?) as there was a real buzz around our guitars and everyone seemed to want to be on the stand all at the same time!

Time for a much needed drink and dinner… so we headed down to Koffmann’s in Knightsbridge. I had a great evening listening to the stories being shared, and quite honestly didn’t stop laughing all evening.

In the next post… Day 2!!!

Welcome to the AGF and thank you for all the great pics!

That's my friend Patrick Eggle with the Sinker Redwood beauty. What a gorgeous guitar!

Hi and welcome. Thanks for posting the pix. I would have liked to have made it to LAGS, but it is a bit far and I had just returned from abroad. I'm hoping the no. of exhibitors will also increase as the show builds on its success. Great to see the photos, is the Kostal as light as it looks?
