A typical mic input is 3K ohms. A typical line input is 10K ohms. A typical instrument (guitar) input is 1M ohms.
A passive HFN will work fine into ~500K and higher. It will sound thin and quiet into a line input. A mic input might have enough gain for reasonable volume but the low impedance will again thin out the tone. A piezo pickup has a series capacitance which will act as a low cut (high pass filter) if it is attached to a low enough load. How sensitive any particular passive piezo is depends on its design, but line and mic inputs are bad across the board for passive piezos (and not great for passive magnetic either though the failure is different, you lose treble due to a series inductor).
