Default Dion Guitars cedar/lapacho (sunken timber) PRICE REDUCED | FINAL SALE

Dion’s first guitar (SN #17) w/ his hollow core back and structured sides - innovations that wake up tonalities from new corners. The model no. 3 is a classic Gurian-inflected shape (without intentionally referencing it) and a great canvas for Dion’s resolutely minimalist aesthetic.

his maple guitars recently have proved quick sellers - this guitar differentiates with a rich, dark sound similar to cedar/rosewood - and capable of volume you usually need a pickup and amp to achieve.

had on AGF and the ‘verb in the spring. now consigned w/ robin at guitar gallery (doublechecked w/ moderator before footstomping here). $4475 + shipping.

great studio recordings and videos on #17 from lance allen on the GG page - worth a listen on their own merits - though i’d mention a recording or two i posted on one of my soundcloud personas - for a sense of how this plays under the thumb of a rank amateur

and also some in situ shots before heading to nashville

happy to field any questions via PM here - but anything in the rubber meets the road department, please contact guitar gallery directly. thanks!

a dealer who represented one of dion’s first guitars and then one of the last of the model no. 3s referred to his instruments as the “tube amp of acoustic guitars” - quite accurate.

Still love that guitar! Can hear it in my head and it's one I wish I could have adopted.

aye! haunts - only letting go b/c my budget for new instruments is old instruments.

one last~ish soundclip to yield a ttt.

flubbing my way through ryley walker’s rocks over rainbow - a straight FS take, i think my take in dadf#ae tuning misses whatever tuning ryley is in, adds a couple of unnecessary ligament tearing stretches. shaken off w/ some chords my minds ear hears david crosby scatting over.
