You guys are making me want to pull the trigger on an X7 black friday deal, but my wife would kill me if I brought another guitar in the house for the time being.

You should be able to sneak in a Black X7? They are stealthy enough maybe??

I can just see the directions for the delivery driver:

Look for black car with trunk open approximately 1/2 mile west of OP's home address...

Since it will be impervious to the weather, keep it in the shed and when your wife thinks you are doing yard work, you are really playing guitar. Eventually she will wonder why the grass is so high if you are always working on the yard, but that comes later.

Always here to help...

That's something to consider, but with temps below freezing now, I'm afraid that would negatively impact the electronics. I have one all built in the cart and it's tempting to save $1000 with the Black Friday sale on it after all the options I put in.

The way I look at such purchases is if you were going to buy it anyway, might as well spend now to save in the long run if it is really on sale. Otherwise, is it an impulse buy because it is on sale (i.e. would you have considered it at regular price)?

I've considered it at full price, but it seemed to be too big a hit to the wallet that way, especially for the options that I'd want.

Then I would say buying it on sale is definitely an option. That is how I got my Kestrel during the now legendary 25% off sale. It has become my favorite daily player.

Well, I did it and couldn't resist pulling the trigger on an X7. It will have a really nice cocobolo veneer. Will post pics in a few months when I get it. I also really liked the fact that I could get a 1 7/8" nut too! That will be great for me as I only play fingerstyle and appreciate a little more room.
