Default Skysonic Wireless Guitar Pickup

This looks interesting. Anyone get one of these yet? They're a little hard to find, but it seems like a new product. This might be perfect for my OO-28!

Very interesting idea - I'm not gonna be first, but would be very interested in a review if anyone else gives it a try -

I've had Skysonic pickups before and they are excellent. I do wonder why someone would choose a specific wireless pickup as opposed to a wireless system like a Line 6 G10 or an Xvive which allows wireless functionality for any pickup of your choice and is more easily moved from guitar to guitar. That being said I'm about to pull the trigger on the Isolo wireless guitar mic system because it's both easily transferable and, according to most user reports, simply sounds better than any pickup. I'm a solo, small-venue fingerstyle player so feedback is not a concern so if that's an issue and you want a wireless pickup rather than a wireless system the Skysonic might be a great choice.

I, too am looking at the iSolo. I’m intrigued by this one, because it has mag as well as a mic, kind of like the Seymour Duncan Mag Mic (which I have, and love). I guess what I really want is to drop a pickup in the sound hole, and not have any wires dangling out (I don’t want to enlarge the hole on my 00-28 to fit an end pin jack)

I just ordered the Skysonic FS1. I always use a dual system (magnetic plus something else) so the design makes a lot of sense to me. It also has two audio connections built in:wired and wireless. I’ll report back when I get it and have a chance to play around a bit.

There is a sample of what this pickup sounds like throughout this review (which I believe is in Thai). Hopefully it will sound this good in my guitar:

The sound is remarkably similar to what I am currently getting with my guitar and body resonance modeling pedal (I just turn in a small amount of the modeling effect).

Plus, he has a very nice touch.

Since the mic has to be on a stand anyway, and I never sing without my guitar, I don’t mind a wired mic. The wireless guitar thing is really cool. I love being able to walk out in the venue to check out the sound and not worry about stepping on the guitar cable.

I ordered it on eBay for $189, but I found a much better deal afterwards. If you download the AliExpress app and sign up for an account, you can get it for $123.54 with free shipping! I believe that’s the best deal you will find right now.
