(I'm the OP). Well, I finished it, and it looks GREAT. After cleaning it with several different things (Lexol, Dawn, etc.) you could still see that it was sorta dull. Do I applied a light coat of Kiwi paste shoe polish, let it dry, buffed it several times with a horse hair shoe brush, then wiped it several times with Bounty paper towels to get off any excess shoe polish.
It's 1966 again! The Tolex looks brand new.
