Hey, I’ve been playing CA Stars a lot lately too!
Plus I’m seeing them in Santa Rosa next month...woohoo!

I never get tired of trying to play "CC Rider", Robert Lockwood Jr.s version. I suppose I've been messing with it for 20 years.

Whenever I listen back to his version I'm always humbled by how little of what he does that I'm doing,.. even though I can play a decent version, I have the structure. I love RL Jr's nuances, phrasing and timing. Now that I listen as I'm post, I'm getting pretty close.

While I still play those songs a lot, lately it has been-

Sweet Virginia - Stones (polishing)
One Horse Town - Blackberry Smoke (polishing)
Wild World - Cat Stevens (just started and kinda kicking me butt!)

Fahey's version of "In Christ There Is No East Or West"
Larry Carlton's "Her Favorite Song"
Larry Carlton's arrangement of "The Lord's Prayer"
Stefan Grossman's arrangement of "Fair and Tender Ladies"
Eric Lugosch's arrangement of "Colored Aristocracy", but I can only play it in my mind.

All solo fingerstyle arrangements.
