All summer Giants glanced in rear view mirror...little blue VW...there every day. Annoying they just won't go away....

Should be awesome.

Hoping Webb woke up with a stiff neck.

Analytics work if you play the game on paper. (I’m a Bill James guy from way back, but I think we have changed the game in less-than-pleasing ways in recent years.)
As far as Tampa Bay replacing the starting pitcher after 2 innings when he was doing great is beyond me. He hadn't even thrown a lot of pitches.

I can't believe the Red Sox are actually going to the ALCS given the way they've played the second half of the season. Except for that late season 9 game winning streak (or whatever it was) they were terrible and so many errors and unearned runs. That all changed starting with the Wild Card game.

Dodgers and Giants. Of course a game 5.
Excited and scared at the same time.
An emotional rollercoaster inning by inning.
Baseball drama at its best. Glad to be a fan. Go Dodgers!

Given the rivalry between the Giants / Dodgers and a deciding playoff game... wow, it's going to be a classic that fans will talk about for years. The 'little' things' will be remembered. Too bad it's only in the divisional series but at least it did happen.

Well, I caught the end the the Giants/ Dodger game. A tight hard fought game between two great teams that ended with a horrible call by the First base umpire on a check swing. Not a great way to end a wonderful game in the bottom of the ninth with so much on the line. Oh well. Giant fans have every right to want that call back. Ouch.

Will Giants will be crying about that forever...you bet. Giants had 9 innings to score more than one run. See you next summer.

….tough loss for the Giants last night….great game but the dud ending wasn’t the story….I would have bet on the Giants in a 2-1 game…..they’ve been winning those close ones all year long….but the Dodgers came up big when they had to and the Giants didn’t…..that’s the story….good luck Dodgers….go win another WS for the NL west!!…

Big win for the Dodgers, tough loss for the Giants.
The bad call was a disappointing way to end such an evenly matched series.
Unfortunately, it's a part of sports, especially if it goes against your team.
This will just add to Dodger/Giant lore. Happy for the Dodgers, but also know the Giants are back.

Giants/Dodgers ending will be talked about forever. I don't think I've ever heard of a game 5 (or 7) ending on a check swing strike out. Shows that after watching baseball all our lives we still see something new.

Red Sox at Houston tonight!

Even as a Dodger fan, I thought that call was bunk. Too important of a game to end it on a questionable call like that. You gotta let the guys play it through, not end it that way.

Scherzer looked to be in total command, but now we'll never know if the Giants could have crawled back into it.

On the plus side, wow, what an incredible season between these two teams. The sponsors and media are feasting at the profit trough. It doesn't get any better.

Red Sox are doing things that have never been done offensively before, or they have tied a record, including grand slams, home runs, consecutive games with 10+ hits.

Dusty Baker, coach of the Astros, said it best... (paraphrase) we just need to win the next game and the series is tied 2-2. How true.
