Default Camille Eduardus

For the very few of you who understand my mother tongue I share a song that I wrote back in the nineteen seventies after I met a homeless guy in a local café where I use to drink my morning coffee. He was godforsaken drunk but so proud of his beautiful name, Camille Eduardus Strooband, that he even showed me his passport to prove it. He told me of his life. He had been rich but life had betrayed him. When the other day searching a bit on the internet I came across his name in an old death announcement published in a newspaper by a hospital I decided to record my song from so long ago. Camille Eduardus had grown much older than I ever could have imagined when I met him but obviously he was still all alone in this world.
