Default D-Tar Mama Bear with CA guitar?

I've always heard the Mama Bear is particularly effective with the Baggs Element UST. Has anyone tried it with a Composite Acoustics guitar.

I have used a Mama Bear with my CAs. Works fine.

However, I would not say that Mama loves the Element more than other pickups. When I used Mama with my old beater Ovation, I could use a blend of about 60% wet for live performance, which gave me a great plugged in tone. However, my Baggs Element equipped guitars would only allow me to go about 40% wet. It definitely improved the tone, but nearly as much.

It doesn't matter all that much if it's a CA, some other CF guitar or a wood guitar, though. The pickup is what matters the most with Mama. The Element works reasonably well with Mama, but not nearly as good as some drier sounding pickups.

Yes, Mama Bear worked fine for my CA, though mine is equipped with the Fishman Premium Blend pickup. And yes, about 40% wet seemed to be the sweet spot. Oddly enough, the notch filter was a useful effect on some of the bigger-sounding images (D28, J200, etc.)

Yes, I tried it and it was effective but it has been a while ago and I blew my Mama Bear up using the wrong ac adapter.

Thanks, very helpful. I know that wood or carbon fiber doesn't matter to Mama, but I'm wanting a CF guitar because the majority of my gigs are outdoors and my Flammang and sunshine don't mix. I'm leaning towards a used OX from ebay and they seem to come stock with the element which I don't care for, so I thought I'd ask how much improvement I could expect. I guess if I don't like it I could pull it, re-sell the Mama Bear, and replace it all with a K&K for about the same price, and the events I play are small enough so that volume and feedback are non-issues. So, I'll give it a shot and let y'all know how it turns out.
